Getting Started

You do not need a referral to contact our office.

We welcome:

  • Self-referrals
  • Referrals from primary care providers
  • Referrals from specialists
  • Requests for second opinions

Once you reach out, our team will guide you through the next steps.

A Call From Your New Patient Coordinator

After we receive your information, a new patient coordinator will contact you to:

  • Gather relevant medical records
  • Answer initial questions
  • Help schedule your first appointment
  • Explain what to bring and what to expect

This call is often the first opportunity to talk through concerns and get clarity before your visit.

Your First Visit

At your initial appointment, you will meet with your oncology provider and a member of their nursing team.

During this visit, we focus on:

  • Reviewing your diagnosis and history
  • Discussing any prior testing or imaging
  • Understanding your questions and priorities
  • Explaining potential next steps

We take time to make sure you feel informed and supported — there is no expectation to make immediate decisions.

Developing Your Care Plan

After reviewing your information, your care team will work together to develop a personalized treatment plan.

Treatment recommendations may include:

  • Infusional therapies such as chemotherapy or immunotherapy
  • Oral cancer therapies
  • Targeted or advanced therapies
  • Coordinated specialty care when additional expertise is needed

When a biopsy, surgical evaluation, or radiation consultation is recommended, our physicians coordinate closely with surgeons and radiation oncologists to ensure timely diagnosis and seamless, well-informed care.

Education and Support With Your Care Team

For most treatments, you will have a dedicated education visit with an advanced practice provider (APP).

This visit focuses on:

  • Understanding your treatment plan
  • What to expect before, during, and after treatment
  • Managing side effects
  • When and how to reach our team with questions

Education is a key part of helping patients feel confident and prepared.

Meeting the Infusion Team

If your care includes infusional treatment, you will meet our infusion nursing team.

Our infusion staff:

  • Are experienced in oncology care
  • Provide close monitoring during treatment
  • Answer questions and offer ongoing support
  • Help ensure treatments are delivered safely and comfortably

Many patients find this step reassuring as they become familiar with the environment and people involved in their care.

  • Monitor your progress
  • Adjust treatment plans when needed
  • Coordinate with specialists and outside providers
  • Support you through each phase of care

Our goal is to ensure you always know who is guiding your care and what the next step will be.

We’re Here for You
