Mark Floyd, M.D.
Dr. Floyd was born in Lakeland, Florida, and has lived in Georgia, South Carolina, Maryland, and New York before finally settling in Texas when he joined the Brazos Valley Cancer Center in 2018. In addition to spending time with his two sons, Dr. Floyd enjoys fitness, hiking, golf, football, traveling and exploring new cultures.
Why Dr. Floyd Chose Oncology
Dr. Floyd’s uncle was diagnosed with cancer when he was in college. Knowing firsthand what patients and families experience during their journey really opened his eyes to that vulnerable world and made Dr. Floyd want to help and guide families through the process. The journey is one that no one wants to take but Dr. Floyd aims to be with families during every step of the process.
What is your personal philosophy on patient care?
”Cancer is a life-changing, scary diagnosis to receive. It affects not only the patient but their loved ones as well. It is a family disease. Patients and their families deserve the best care, empathy and compassion.”
what patients say about dr. floyd
I have been with Dr Floyd 5+ years. The office is well trained. Check in is easy. The lab department is super nice. Dr. Floyd has a good way about him. I almost never have to wait long. It is not easy to live with cancer but I feel I am being given good counsel and understanding.
Dr. Floyd is obviously very knowledgeable and has been kind in explaining my condition and the plan forward. He and the staff at the clinic are like a well oiled machine as far as coordinating with my other doctors and with treatments. I feel very fortunate to be his patient.
I have loved my trips to the Healing Place I have told them no one needs cancer. Care, compassion, comfort and love is what I asked them to put in all my treatments. 2 1/2 years cancer free and all the prayers were answered.
